It appears to me that comments from different people who post here have been fairly civilized for the past few months.
I believe that when flame wars are being waged on a regular basis it can frighten some people away from a forum.
If this relatively peaceful atmosphere continues for a bit longer I will probably contact some other earthquake researchers and recommend that they monitor this forum for Earthquake Warnings and other earthquake information.
A few of them might start posting their own notes here. It might be possible to get Shan to start posting his forecasts here again.
These are personal opinions.

As I said in the above post, things have been quiet here for a while.
That has now officially ended.
I had been planning to tell other scientists and researchers around the world about this Web site.
That now won't happen. Nor will it ever happen. I did tell one researcher. That won't be a problem.

Then you can have your echo chamber where everyone agrees
with you and no one critiques anything you say. You'll
have full control over who gets to post and you can make
the rules on what they are allowed to say.
Note that Ed does not refute what I posted in response
to him. Rather, he cries about it.
And I thought *I* was too sensitive....
