When I think of the tectonic plates, I imagine them as slow moving cracked sections of a goo filled glass globe, I also imagine all the micro faults as shards that are breaking off those larger pieces as they grind against each other while ever so slowly floating over the goo in the globe.
Years ago I woke with the vision of the USGS Index Map of Earthquakes in California and Nevada with the red, blue, and yellow squares. What I saw in my half awake/asleep flash "vision" was a blue square in the middle of southern California so big that two of its corners touched the border, one corner touching the western border, the other touching the eastern border.
The "shards" north of the grinding Garlock fault, particularly the Kern Canyon fault and any micro "shards" or faults west of there, even in the area where the young couple, their baby and dog died, seem like they might be candidates that would fit the epicenter of the square in my vision.
Maybe the Dream board would have been a better fit, I don't know, but sometimes dreams are revelations worth considering.
