The New Moon will be switching to the Full Moon on October 20th, 2021. Jim Berkland - it was 6 months for the New Moon to switch to the Full Moon.

Hi Bev! Thanks for your posts. Would you please clarify just what is different about the Full Moon on Oct 20th?

I'm just seeing the normal 2 wk interval since the New Moon on Oct 6th. What do you mean by the 6 months?

Roger's and my computer program says that these are the sun - Earth - moon angles for around October 20, 2021

A sun - Earth - moon angle of 180 or -180 would mean a full moon. The moon and sun are on opposite sides of the Earth, at least as far as longitude is concerned.
