EQF is an abbreviation for "EarthQuake Forecasting"

Several "Test Messages" are scheduled to be posted here to see what various types of text, URLs, and picture files look like when they are displayed.

The above chart is one of my Web site earthquake forecasting charts from back in 2019. It is believed to have been showing that a significant earthquakes was headed for the Chile area.

The Web site URL is an indirect one. It will transfer people to the actual site. Indirect links are used at times in part to keep spam robots away from the actual Web site.

For the actual Web site, visit any Search Engine and enter:

earthquake research index.html

The URL for that actual Web site should be at or near the top of the list.

Regards to all,

EQF

All of the information in that first "Test Message" appears to have displayed accurately.

Additional formatting tests are scheduled to be run.

Forum visitors can contact me directly by using the E-mail address at the bottom of any of my Web site Web pages.

This posting involves tests of different html code to see what
appears.  I hope that the board monitor won't get upset.  I
did contact him about this.

The above post is likely the last of my html tests. They were successful even though the line spacing was not perfect.

This forum computer program appears to work like others including one that I have running on my own PC with a special program that makes a PC behave like an Internet Server computer.

Complex html posts to this forum can be prepared with a Web page creation program such as SeaMonkey, the one I myself use most often.

The html page is then saved. And a program like Windows Notepad can be used to open it. The html text can then be copied to one of these forum pages as with the above post.

Regards to all,

EQF

You've certainly got an interesting web site. I'm curious, who are you, EQF?? Your website makes no mention of who you are or what your background is. What is your background? Do you work for the government in an official capacity? Just wondering.

Hi Curly Bear,

Thanks for the nice note.

I don’t work for any governments. Most of my time is spent doing disaster management work including earthquake forecasting work as you could see from visiting my Web site.

Some of my past efforts not involving earthquake forecasting have in my opinion been highly successful. Governments make good use of my free advice.

One of the keys to being successful with that involves not getting into public debates with government officials. When you can avoid that they are more likely to listen when you tell them something.

If you looked around my Web sites enough then you would have seen that I am a strong advocate for the development of new sources of environmentally safe, affordable energy. The Obama Administration was also in favor of that. But if you have been watching the news during the past few years, you would know that this is apparently not a priority for the present U.S. Government.

Now that my forecasting Web pages have all been created and updated after literally decades of work, it is my intention to try to get the U.S. and other countries to do more work in the area of earthquake forecasting. And since I have not appeared in public and stated that energy development is important I am hoping that U.S. officials will be inclined to listen to what I have to say instead of deciding that because I favor strong energy policies, they don’t want to hear about my opinions regarding earthquake forecasting.

That is simply the way our world works. There are ways to get things done. And there are a lot more things that you can do to be unsuccessful with your efforts.

Roger and Shan who post here and I have been comparing earthquake forecasting notes for a very, very long time. I believe that Shan’s forecasting method could be of tremendous help to governments etc. if he could better convince them that it works. I personally don’t know how accurate his method is. That is one of the reasons for having these discussion boards. People can compare notes regarding such matters.

My own background with this goes quite a ways back in time. I helped with running the old QuakeNet earthquake information circulation service and have helped with the preparation of and translation of several earthquake forecasting books.

If I remember correctly, QuakeNet was the first earthquake information service of its type. It existed even before Jim Berkland’s forum. It eventually split into two Earthwaves forums. I don’t know if either of them is still active.

These are personal opinions.

Regards,

EQF
