Hi all;
Just out of curiosity I wrote a program to count all
the quakes in the NEIC catalog, mag 5 or larger,
according to the 6x6 square lat-lon box they fell
in, for the 60 degree to -60 degree latitude range.
Totals range from 0 to over 10,000 quakes from 1973
to 2020 so far.
Now it strikes me that I could select all the high
number boxes for predictions and beat Shan at his
own game.

Roger this could be amusing. You will use 21 day windows
like Shan , yes ?
If you can perform this fantastic magic trick I'm sure
the USGS will have a parade for you and recommend you
for the million dollar Nobel Peace Prize. Maybe we'll
see a fine bronze statue in your honor.

You miss the point.
I would use the hotspots because that's what I believe
Shan is doing.
I could be wrong but it would be an interesting
experiment.

Just come across the medical field of
CUBA which developed medicine to treat
cancer / vaccines (including Covid-19 for
latest) but forcefully separated by the
influence of giants to stop it's growth.
