friday, my muscles above the right knee started screaming suddenly,swelling twice the size of the other knee,could hardly walk, son had to lift my legs up and down out of bed, next day, horrible, called nurses and they said to go to ER(again,right?)....my BP was soooo low, the emt's put me on fluid, any way,Xrays later, dr's checking out my leg/knee, said the muscle is so strong that it literally broke my knee cap in half!!!!they had never seen that before.gave me this brace that is massive, from the ankle to the crotch, with buckles i can't lock or unlock!!!...so have asn apt with orthopedics tomorrow to see what can be done......sigh,really? i just got home!!!!

Good grief Kay. Don’t ever say what’s next! Praying you will heal faster
than it took to crack the knee cap! Must say, I’ve never heard of that. I
see PT in your future. Keep your chin up Sweetie, the scabs take too long
to heal. You don’t need that! Again you are in my thoughts & prayers
daily.

OM goodness. yes the bodys lack of certain nutrition can
make these mucles spazes horrible. and what I've learned
is all the toxins/ pollution in air and soils can be
contributing to it..so this also means all of us
sensitives are getting tripled whammied on top of
it.what the've been doing is literally slow or quick
murder. Just another contributing factor I cannot walk
normal and lost my mobility. :( the rt knee for me
earth related is S America- the left knee is for mid
east and asia areas and parts of Europe. All we can do
is muddle thru with prayer for all the insanity to stop.

Oh honey, OMG... ;( I know too well the power of muscle
spasms to break bone, it's entirely surreal and should
not be allowed in the human experience...end of... I'm so
sorry this happened to you, kay, no fair in general with
all you've been through and especially after just getting
home... ;( Big (((gentle hugs))) for you, hoping they can
keep you out of pain and perfectly supported, albeit with
that ghastly-sounding brace, while that fracture heals...
Wondering what put that muscle group into literally
bonebreaking spasm seems primary as well...? I would
think your orthopod would get into that... In my case the
severe muscle spasms were due to hypercalcemia, which was
due to hyperparathyroidism; this shows up in a standard
metabolic panel lab test as high blood calcium and high
parathyroid hormone levels, so, if you feel to, you might
want to mention this possibility to your docs? For
whatever reason this condition isn't widely known even to
endocrinologists...just a thought... Of course there's
obviously other likely causes for such severe spazzing
your doc will explore, I'm sure...
Just hate that this is happening for you. Big Love and
prayers all around you!
