Okay, how's about we try something different? It's a
little daunting for me, for sure...because I obviously
have some notably charged boundaries up where you're
concerned, having experienced you as someone who attacks
head-first and only engages heartwise if engaging by
attacking headwise, first, proves the person is "worth
engaging"...lol... I won't play that game, so there's
been no real ground for us to connect in any better way
upon...

So, whaddya say? I was just pretty snippy w/you in a post
on National...and from There, I'm *laying down my own
verbal sword* here, on this page... And I'm asking you,
Who are you? Behind and beyond the narrative of highly-
aggressive truthseeker out to show up anything as false
that doesn't pass muster? I'd like to know... ;)

Do you realize part of the reason you're not getting much
engagement here, especially from more progressive folk,
is because you come out swinging in this way? I
mean...yeah, part of it is also because most of us are
not young, and the volume of posts, as well as content,
has understandably dialed down over the years...lol...
But we all know each other pretty well, even across such
hotly firing apparent-divisions, and know our respective
orientations...

I'd like to be able to connect w/you *as a person,*
akira... I'd like to not feel instant walls fly up in me
whenever I see your name, anticipating an entirely
unjustified attack...as I'm sure many here would...

There are things you post that I do enjoy reading about,
and I'll admit, I do tend not to respond because of how
this dynamic has shaped a default...

If you're going to just respond to this with more
dissing, no worries, I'm prepared for that...lol...but I
hope you can find somewhere resonant within yourself
that'd also like to connect apart from that energetic
dissonance, in a more mutually-respectful, supportive and
kind space of intention... I do have that to offer, and I
want to extend it to you...

Pretty taken aback by Asheville's level of damage, and I
know it was a shock as they don't usually flood there, at
least in some areas... I have a friend I'm out of touch
with, now, who lives there, and I remember her mentioning
that...

Can't quite get a personal sharing flow going without
knowing your situation, so will wait and continue
prayers...hoping for the best for you, and everyone there!

From what I'm seeing, *all roads* in western NC are
impassable for one reason or another, no power, no cell
service either... I remember this friend I mentioned, who
lives in Asheville, expressing solid confidence every time
a hurricane came near that Asheville could never flood
because of its elevation... Trying to locate her now...

okay, I'll bite. But I really disagree with the idea, "...we all know each other pretty
well". Maybe some of you know each other well.

I appreciate your reaching out. Believe it or not, most of time & energy revolves
around healing work - bodywork, yoga, energy work, empowerment (of others),
healing trauma, physical/emotional. I'm also an artist. That's been on the
sideline, but recently got a studio in a gallery, sold a painting & have 2
commissions (causing me stress already). The goal is spending more time art
making. I do other stuff, but those are primary.

I know I seem out of control here. I'm not. But should probably try to reign in
my um, activity. I'll work on it. It's frustrating to be continually labeled as a
trump supporter/communist/putin lover/America hater, etc. I've probably
posted 100's of critical trump posts, but nobody seems to remember that.
snodrop would have. lol. I've been here many years. It's interesting how
right/centrist some so-called liberals here have shifted over the years.
Criticizing US policy has become unpopular (it didn't used to be). The
inability/unwillingness of liberals to criticize democrats is just as grating as
conservatives' unwillingness/inability to criticize republicans. On the other
hand, it's really a fascinating observation of human psychology. I no longer
identify with a party.

I believe, or would like to believe that on only just slightly deeper levels, you and
I and others here would likely get along swimmingly. Maybe even have a lot in
common.

It seems you tend to get very defensive very fast. There have been a couple of
times I've made genuine attempts to connect with you, but got shot down due
to a misperception. I gave up.

Your turn, if you like.

Okay! You're back! And clearly none the worse for wear,
at least where your personal self-expression is
concerned! That's genuinely wonderful... ;) And I wish
you healing for your nervous system and everywhere else
the toll has been greater...

So...a couple things here.

Where you disagreed with my assertion that "We all know
each other pretty well" here on this site, I'll give you
that, as my wording was inaccurate. What I should have
said was, "We all know what we can expect from each
other, pretty much, after posting together for so many
years." I think that's accurate...

Thank you for sharing a little about your other
interests, several of which we share...healing trauma
being up top, I think... That's beautiful, that you're an
artist... I've been wondering whether the studio/gallery
space I assume you had your work in escaped damage, sure
hope so, or that your work was elsewhere safe...but if
not, I'm sorry for that, and I know you'll create more...

I share your belief that on slightly deeper levels, you
and I and others here do indeed have things in common and
would benefit enormously by sharing of ourselves...

...and that's a perfect segue into your observation that
I "tend to get defensive very fast," which I've
acknowledged... ;)

Akira, while I do, yes, pack a bit of a wad there,
personally...do you really wonder at my *defensiveness*
when, in so many of your posts, you are literally
*dissing* and dressing down individuals here whom *you do
not know,* have NO idea where their orientation sources
from (given your understanding of trauma psychology?!),
for not holding the United States accountable for its
involvement in atrocities overseas in the way you,
personally, see as effective and appropriate?

When this is your Opener, why would you expect anything
else? lol ;) I have no doubt you can feel lots of intense
energy behind my words, here...and, at the same time, I
*am smiling,* because you do often remind me very much of
a younger me...and I'm wondering to what degree my own
context of experience, growing *from that same
perspective* into a bigger picture will be at all
translatable, or meaningful, or relatable to where you
find yourself, right now... ;) Perhaps we shall see.

I know you are railing against this because *you do not
understand how it can be so,* that the U.S. is part of
such things, yes? I get that. I feel that, too; believe
it or not, I am no less outraged than you are, and I know
that's true of many here! And I know that without solid
answers to that How, or Why we're not screaming right
along with you, you cannot feel okay with, offer your
support to, anything that appears to support that
involvement...because you don't share my experiential
faith that when all is said and done, the Democratic
party is the only hope to escape Fascism here, in this
country...

Those of us who are coming from a bigger picture are not
coming from the intention to further *allow* something we
have no actual control over...(if I can speak for more
than myself, those whose orientations I know, here)...but
rather from the choice to have faith in the core
intentions of Democratic everything to prevail -- even
where it currently has not, yet...

There's a lot I'd like to share with you, and with
everyone...wondering if our conversation will be how and
where that happens, but we'll have to see... ;)

If you didn't see it yet, I posted this for you Akira,
seeings how we're both from tribe of Judah. Even Bopp
thinks many of the lost tribes are found in the Native
American ones, as well as the islands in Asia and
elsewhere. Many of us have good reasons to be so
passionate.

Wow, thank you so much for all this, akira... I genuinely
appreciate it, and I look forward to responding at
length.

Something to know about me, unless you've already gleaned
it, is that I deal w/intense chronic pain, and just
recently I came into a new way of treating it...which is
iffy and may only be temporary...and which is why I've
had the capacity to post so much more lately than I had
been...

But of course that can lead to overdoing it, which I've
done twice now...*eyeroll*...so will have to keep my
whole upper right side still as possible for a day or so
while I melt it with various melting agents...lol...

And, yes; I'll own that I do get defensive quickly, and
that I did miss those instances you mention when you
reached out. Maybe we can connect better here, in this
way. I hope so. Best to you...
