the system that moved in a couple weeks ago thrashed my tomato crop...had many hundreds of green tomatos looking great on healthy plants, then the rain brought the blight which killed the plants really quickly and about 95% of tomatoes rotted on the vine...tons of chili peppers and squash (yellow summer and butternut)...and the dry beans did really well this year...gophers ate about 2/3 of my oniopns but left the shallots alone, and they produced really well...carrots and kale also doing great...

This summer was not good at all for most of my crops. So sorry about your tomatoes. Many folks struggled with them this year. We have nearly 80 percent of ours still green. The cherry ones did better.
Our best crops this year were cherries and corn of all things. Only thing Im pulling up is my cukes which are clearly done. The zukes seem to want a second act.the first one was pretty lame.
We now have a small greenhouse. I put in a heater/fan plus a grow light. Anyone have any advise what to grow? Hubby needs a green salad every day so lettuce is an obvious.
