Subject: My poor George

I’ve been friends with him for over 30- yrs. He came to dinner every
Tuesday when we lived in Bois, ID. I worked for him for over 16- yrs. As
his personal assistant. Talked to him 2- days ago. He was a bit out of it. I
guess when he fell and laid were he was for so long he was bruised all on
his left side. I’m almost sure he had a very bad stroke. Has a hard time
talking. He also said ‘they’ are making him take early retirement. He’s 65
yrs old. Says he will not be leaving this assisted living where he’s at.
I feel so sorry for him.he has visitors but he can’t remember who they
are. His apartment is just sitting there empty of him. His 7- siblings all
younger than him haven’t helped him at all.if you find your self with free
time on your hands saying a small prayer for George, please 🙏 lift his
problems . Thank you in advance. For any good thoughts and prayers.

George is better. He’s doing PT and they are still taking his blood
pressure every hr. But in a couple of weeks he will move to the assisted
living area. His own room. He can start nesting. He is getting used to
being taken care of. No bills, no pressure. I guess people in his church
are taking care of his things in the apartment. He will be able to have
some stuff of his own in a nice sized room. He simply can not take care
of his needs any longer. So this is the best place for him. He does
understand that fact. Such a young age. But it is what it is. God’s will be
done.

Thank you Charlie. George was always very good to me. Being a diabetic
Hasn’t help him either. He tried to keep his blood sugar under control.
Then he’d eat after Chruch all the good food ( not good for him) he
simply wanted to belong. He always told me after we moved that he
couldn’t find anyone like me. I was irreplaceable. Such a devoted
Catholic, confirmed bachelor. He depended on my to do just about
everything for him. I’ll try and call him tomorrow. Thank you for the
prayers.

George called today with a clearer head. He is in the hospital side of this
convalescent home. Soon he will be moved to the other side which
assisted living. He sounded good. I feel he will do well. Thank you God.
And all the prayers from you here. I always felt he was born a century or
2- behind the rest of us. Where in England they had man butlers, to take
care of all of George’s needs. ( maybe more like Ireland). Answered
prayers and God is so very good.
