Subject: Good tests results for me too |

Had another echocardiogram after one year. The aortic
aneurysm is stable at 4.1, considered minor but worth
keeping an eye on thanks to my great Dr.
Derm Dr next month. Ive had several skin cancers
including melanoma so keep an eye on that as well.
Getting old isnt for sissies.
It takes months to get into Drs in Seattle especially
specialists so plan ahead.

glad to hear it sue!i know what you say about waiting
time, the neurologist which everyone says i need, could
only get in to see him in may, 2024.meanwhile i have
about 8 other doctors i see!

After fixing thanksgiving dinner for our daughter & her family my left leg,
hip & back was talking to me in NOT SO NICE WAY! Oh, they said they’d
help but we had everything under control by the time they showed up.
Mike turns 79 the 26th of this month. I will turn 75 next month.
Something’s gotta give! I had an easy talk with my Daughter about it. She
understood.
Mike started something new this yr. We were all at the table, said a
blessing, then he said ‘I’m very Thankful to have my family all here, in
good health , & thanked God for His Blessing this yr.’ Then we went
around the table and each of our family members said what they were
thankful for! It brought tears to my eyes.

I know how you feel - every time I go into a dr's appt
- and get good news - my next thought is - what about
the appt I have with such and such next week....will
THAT be good news?
And yes, making any dr appt is becoming exceedingly
challenging around here -
I am in the process of switching from my regular GP to
a geriatric GP - I called in Oct to make an appt - and
the first available appt for new patient is April 2024!
and then
am supposed to have hip replacement surgery here
shortly, but
it looks like it will be more towards April/May due to
number of patients before me and surgeon availability.
Btw- sent you email last week....

BTW hip replacement was an easy surgery for me. 10- days w/o a shower
was the worst of it. Internet you can find- called ‘ pure body wipes’- they
did a nice job of keeping me clean. Found them on Amazon. Nothing
wrong with planning ahead. 40- pack $42.00.
Also got a raised toilet seat w/ handles on each side. Really saved me.
Mike had gotten one w/o handles & i fell off that day I came home-
bruised my right hip and I told my husband, grandson to call 911- which
was the point where my ‘pick‘ busted.(tears) My pJ’s around my knees
took two firemen to get me back onto the seat, one grabbed under my
arms & the other I put out my hands for him to hold.. Then they were so
kind, “we’ll stand out here and give you some privacy “. Mike had the new
seat delivered the next day!! All the above is only food for thought.
Maybe put a smile 😊 on your face. I can laugh about it now.
