thanks, we had a lovely time. so many years it has been
my son and i trying to find a place to eat....and most
places filled up. this year i ordered the dinner from
shop smart, came frozen, cooked turkey which we thawed
and then cooked more, that was the best looking bird i
have seen in a long time, came with mashed potatoes,
dressing, rolls, green bean casserole and a pie. my
caregiver/friend and son put it all together since i
cant do much, she made her own chestnut dressing,
which was yummy, i added our new yam 'thing' where you
cut them into slices, and get those all buttered up and
bake on a cookie sheet, take out and put a little maple
syrup on each one and bake again....the are wonderful,
like eating candy, every one wanted more, more..lol
so it was my son and i, however, our neighbor but his
lady friend, who is my dear friend, came down with the
flu, and couldn't make it, and my caregiver who has
become family to us, four altogether, which works out
in my small dining area just well....we had a good
time!now eating leftovers...yum again!

Thank you and back at you. My daughter who came to visit
for a week decided to go to the Seahawk game tonight we
we gave our blessing. Im doing a very low key dinner. The
turkey is almost done, instant mashed potatoes. homemade
gravy and a can of green beans. Guess a stovetop dressing
as well. I decided to take this week off with her. Weve
hit a new coffee shop every day, easy to do in Seattle.

100 percent no stress going on here. Well maybe for the
Seahawk game LOL.

just 4 this year (hubby and I, adult grandson and a
friend of the family)..10 lb turkey w/apple cranberry
baste, homemade stuffing, orange-ginger yams, toasted
almond and sundried tomato green beans, deviled eggs,
hawaiian rolls and herbed mashed potatoes. Followed up
with Apple pie! I taught our grandson how to make
deviled eggs. They turned out good.

Serious...I'm still too full for the pie. Ton of
leftovers.

Our daughter's coming up Saturday and staying the night
to do some shopping with mom on Sunday. Can't wait! :).

Lots of phone calls from the long-ranged kids today and
families. Talked to Mom and sis on the phone. We'll
probably travel to see three of the kids and a mess of
grandkids in Texas for Christmas.
