looking for opinions. Not looking to be a master or a career out of it. Just level one and see how that goes. There is a very good training center about a mile from me.It's something I have thought about for a long time.Does anyone have experience with it or just thoughts?

Do it. If it feels right for you, if you're drawn to it, do it. I've been a Reiki practitioner for 25 yrs. It can only enhance your life. 🙏😁. Blessings Sara -'-

Energy is energy. I was doing energy work before I had reiki 'attunements'. Did the attunements enhance what I was already doing? still not sure. I've received the same kind of feedback from recipients, before & after. I've had mixed feelings about reiki. The woman who supposedly developed the technique made an industry out of it. Some reiki 'masters' charge a lot of money for ll & master level attunements. Like $10,000! From 1st hand experience I know the reiki master who trained me was extremely gifted. Not every 'master' is, from my experience.
Bottom line, do it if you feel inspired. It can't hurt you or anyone else. Just know & trust you already have access to energy. Maybe it will enhance your natural ability (everybody has it, imo).
If you decide to, I'd suggest having a session with the facilitator first. If you don't feel anything, find another. ... my 2cents

i have several friends that do this, even one 'a master'...and have had long distance done for me, i do believe it helps and have gotten great feedback too on some of my conditions. years ago i had the first atunement? done for me..
i used to do 'energy ' work on people in person and long distance, i still send that to people the planet and all and symbols would just come to me, i used crystals and more too.
my son would always say 'check your guides':-)
i believe in all kinds of energy work sue, since everything is energy anyway...just pull in the positive, which i know you do....;-), hugs, kay

Have done some classes many years ago - still have the ability. It is a 'skill' that once you learn it, it is with you for life that can be utilized in many different scenarios and situations.
A great instructor is Polly Klein in Issaquah http://www.tonglenhealingarts.com/

While I've never had any solid 3D reasoning for this...I mean, its symbols utilize Universal energetics, from what I understand...I've never resonated with it personally. And I've had three different energyworker/clairvoyant friends confirm that for me over the years, that it "just isn't best for me" in ways they couldn't describe either.
This isn't to say I'm putting in a vote "against" it, not at all! I'm the only one I've ever come upon like this! ;) I've known lots of practitioners and those who've received it, as well, who sing its praises in a big way...so by all means, trust what your own intuitive senses tell you, as I know you would... ;)

I didn't want to come across as if I were dissing Reiki in favor of doing energywork oneself, in my initial response to you, Sue, but I agree wholeheartedly w/those here pointing this up, and I'm sure this is within your own intuitive understanding as well -- that when we are holding a positive, loving, healing thought/feeling for someone, and we intend/ask (depending on your orientation) that the energy of that serve the highest good/wellbeing of that person, I see that as being just as powerful/effective as anything any system of symbols might be able to convey...
I'm glad others mentioned this as well... ;)

My daughter is really good at manifesting, I mean really good. I did not get that gift. So many paths to pretty much the same goal

Well, I tend to think that we're "good at manifesting" when timings roll around in which that grace serves our highest good ideally and best, and other times when we're best supported by not having that happen quite so easily, if you know what I mean! ;) And sometimes those timings run only briefly, and sometimes for whole lifetimes... ;)
So cool this is happening for your daughter! Will certainly help support and open every step of the way for all her life processes... ;)
