Conservative attorney George Conway on Thursday suggested that some of Donald Trump’s most controversial Cabinet picks — such as former Rep. Matt Gaetz for attorney general and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for health secretary — were ones you’d make “if you were actively trying to do harm to the country, to destroy the country.”
Conway, talking to CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, boiled it down to what he called the president-elect’s malignant narcissism, which means he is “inherently destructive.”
“People like Trump, malignant narcissists, actually do, subconsciously or consciously, seek to destroy,” said Conway, a longtime critic of the incoming POTUS.
“One of the things about people like Trump [...] is they like to accuse people of what they themselves are trying to do,” he continued. “You’ve heard it said about Trump many times, every accusation is a confession.”
“Well, that’s what’s going on here. Deep down, he’s a destructive force. Deep down, he wants to destroy,” he said.
“Mark my words, it’s only going to get worse,” he added.
