My husband was standing in line at the store waiting to
be checked out, and the man ahead of him told him he
liked hubby's shirt.
He was wearing his "Veterans against Trump" t-shirt
that day.
They started talking. The man had been considering
Trump, but one of the magas quickly decided it for him.
He had been at the gas station just filling up after
work. He works out at a prison as a guard, he's most
definitely a US born citizen. Then, some jerk comes out
of nowhere, cold cocks him...yells "You freaking
Mexicans go back where you came from" and ran off.
He's hispanic in ancestry, but American raised and
born.
He told my hubby at that moment, this maga made his
mind up for him. He was voting for Harris.
The fact this maga guy (and yes, he was wearing his own
Trump t-shirt) thought he now has permission to
physically assault people at gas stations for their
race, says it all.
It's anectodical, but not the only assault on other
members of our community by magas. Some for simply
wearing a Harris t-shirt or hat.
Trump encourages, gives permission for and grows this
kind of violence and behavior.
There's so much wrong with Trump it's not funny. Not
only the worst president ever, but one of the worst
human beings ever.
And about his lie about how easy it would be to just
shut down the border...then why didn't he do it when he
was president?? Because what he wanted to do wasn't
constitutional, often outright illegal (shoot them in
the legs!) and immorally cruel and the supreme court
made him stop. He apparently couldn't do it legally.
What he's saying there is if re-elected, he'll just
tear up the constitution, declare any judge that rules
against him as an enemy and have them fired or
arrested, and do what he wants like a fascist dictator.
