Subject: DJT says 'One rough hour of policing' would end crime

URL: https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/4906904-trump-endorses-police-rough-hour/

The fascist thug makes his case for enacting The Purge...
He says, "See, we have to let the police do their job.
And if they have to be extraordinarily rough—”

Ahem. Translation: "Everyone needs to accept the need for
this. We have to allow the police to use deadly force *at
their discretion,* which means we don't hesitate to shoot
any nonWhite person suspected of criminal behavior, and
we don't muck up the legal process by forcing policeman
into proving 'political correctness' by wearing cameras
and proving they followed some 'correct procedure' that
makes it impossible for them to DO THEIR JOBS!!! Surely
everyone understands the need for this by now, and I will
END CRIME by delivering it!"

Any questions?

Former President Trump suggested Sunday that one “rough
hour” of policing would end crime, as he called for law
enforcement to be freed up to “do their job” without
restrictions.

“See, we have to let the police do their job. And if they
have to be extraordinarily rough—” Trump said at a rally
in Erie, Pa., trailing off and claiming there are cases
of criminals walking out of department stores with large
appliances on their backs.

“And the police aren’t allowed to do their job. They’re
told if you do anything, you’re going to lose your
pension; you’re going to lose your family, your house,
your car. What the hell is going on?” Trump continued.
“They’re not allowed to do it, because the liberal left
won’t let them do it. The liberal left wants to destroy
them.”

“One rough hour — and I mean real rough — the word will
get out, and it will end immediately, end immediately.
You know, it will end immediately,” he said.

Trump campaign officials said the former president was
not putting forward a serious policy proposal but was
speaking more broadly about letting police crack down on
crime.

The former president, who has the endorsement of the
Fraternal Order of Police, has frequently spoken in favor
of allowing law enforcement to do their jobs without fear
of repercussions, calling for broad immunity for police
officers. Trump has on multiple occasions said he would
support the return of stop-and-frisk, a controversial
practice that a judge in 2013 deemed violated the
Constitution when used in New York City.

And Trump tells his supporters at nearly every rally that
crime is out of control and that cities and suburbs
across America are being overrun. The latest FBI crime
statistics showed a 3 percent drop in violent crime
across the country last year, including a significant
drop in the number of homicides.

then why in the hell didn't he just eliminate crime his
first four years?

He can't...all he can do is think he can go around the
constitution and make America a martial law state
illegally and like a brutal dictator who doesn't give a
shit about justice, laws or due process.

He can't be allowed near the office of President ever
again.

(...and what's giving my sanity a genuinely impressive
run for its money is that there exist *so many people in
this country who are SO DESENSITIZED to their fellow
human beings, have the well-being of others so completely
disappeared and rendered irrelevant, THAT THEY COULD VOTE
FOR SOMEONE WHO WOULD DO THIS*........... WUT??? Who ARE
you, that you'd contribute to putting someone in a
position of power, who would do this?

I don't recognize my country anymore.

If we here, as a species, can be turned into robots
without hearts, happy to submit ourselves to any leader
who promises to mollify people's illusions of safety...if
the dehumanizing process that's reached crucial levels in
our society isn't reversed...we are well and truly fucked
-- ALL of us.)

There are many many days I question the sanity of my
country and the world. I do not understand who these
individuals are who support the maniac/cult leader and
would desire so much evil upon someone else? How
anyone in their right mind, with a loving heart could
vote for such evil?

What I do know is that I did not, do not, and will not
interact with nor be 'friends' with anyone who supports
him. I cannot rightfully separate someone's politics
from their character because who they support IS a
reflection of who they are, how they are and what they
are. Because when seeing such evil as djt has shown
the world- absolutely no one should support him because
if you support him, then you support evil.

This is a minority of people who don't give a damn about
the rest of America.

This is a party of oppression and violence to achieve
that oppression and control of anyone who disagrees with
them.

This, my friends, is what fascism looks like.

I do know it’s a minority, Red, and thank God for that… And I do, as I
know you do and does many of us, have understanding around how it is
that people’s fears can twist their psyches waaaaaay out of range of their
consciences… ;( It’s just excruciating just knowing anyone is so deeply
skewed and terrified that they’d be onboard with that…

I guess perhaps history (or maybe *herstory* is more apt here!) will
retroactively frame this period of time as *exactly that* — when the 2024
GOP presidential campaign gifted America with its harshest lesson: It
showed us, as closely as we could allow, what true Fascism would have
looked like, felt like…exactly how it is literally 180 degrees from the
intended spirit and essence of this country, so we could see the absolute
necessity of choosing against it, so we didn’t have to actually endure it
as a reality…and find ourselves tasked with unearthing that spirit from
where fascism would’ve buried it…
