I worked animal control for a lot of years and you can’t believe some of the shit people do to animals… not saying it is true, but people do “strange” crap. I wasn’t there and I wasn’t a witness to it , so I can’t pass judgement one way or the other. When I worked out of agoura years ago we had a slew of cat killings going on where people’s pet cats were being gutted, blood drained and the carcasses thrown back onto the lawns in the neighborhood.

I've seen the testimony in print so I didnt watch the video.
Where people are hungry and accustomed to living off land, killing their own chickens, etc., the wildlife is in danger of becoming lunch.
For undernourished, the free food and low cost markets provide inadequate nutrition. City Park ducks and squirrels would be fair game.
Other cities, states at other times have faced this problem. In Oklahoma after the Great Depression, it took over 30 years to replenish deer populations. I expect there were no ducks and geese in town, either.
It is beyond cultural difference and brings attention not just to immigration but lack of adequate social services to acculurate a needy population to the receiving country.

We are a civilized nation and if they are brought in to be looked after then provide the means for that! These people should not be used as political fodder. That’s fucked up. Nor should the citizens of the community be made to suffer.
They are for the most part probably practicing voodoo and that involves sacrificing cats and eating them. In some instances eating people is involved in such so consider the citizens of Springfield might be probable to be on the menu next, it's not out of range...it's the Days of Noah again, hello?
Please view the testimonies of the citizens before you comment again it's more than just the eating of the pets for them the citizens feel forced like victims. I doubt many cities have had 15,000 Haitians come into a place the size of Springfield, Ohio...if you know of any comparable please share. I am not about politics as many here and I don't think the topic of Haitians eating pets is out of range nor is it ridiculous or funny or giggly.
Thank you.
Another testimony of a girl whose father was a Haitian immigrant...forgive the Elon reference as he shared the message but she has a point. I remember when Haitia had that huge earthquake and the clips I saw of it was like hell on earth and that's what many parts of Haiti still probably are. I don't know if bringing them here in groups is the best for them or the citizens as in mass groups they continue the same as they did in Haiti most likely.

As someone who has been homeless, hungry, or even "homed" and hungry, and have known of parks that lost their animals to hungery people, I used the argument that the most obvious answer is probably the right one.
At no time did I intend this issue to be giggly. Don't know where you got that. Perhaps you weren't referring to me. There is nothing amusing about ducks disappearing from parks, I feed birds, and more at my house, and deer in the cold, water all year for all.
As far as animal sacrifice, our culture finds that abhorrent, and rightly so. However, the history of Haiti is not ours, and neither Island life. It has been a long time since this culture sacrificed animals to Gods, seems to have gone out of fashion at the onset of Christianity when the sacrifice of a man-god was celebrated daily. Doves, goats, sheep, etc., off the hook, and that's no joke. Other gods and their favorite animals went out of fashion.
Would the Haitians fall back on what the know when faced to acculturation in a foreign country? Yes. The stress of being a stranger in a strange land is very real. What I would be very careful in these stories is the repetition of isolated instances applied to a general population.
Perhaps the Republicans who voted down the immigration bill should pass it next time. Further, yes, there were communities that received Hmung and other Vietnamese out of proportion to others, and they suffered until they blended in. Although there it was trees in the front yard stripped of fruit, etc.
Animal stealers wouldn't have an easy time of it here. An owner would shoot someone coming onto property and taking an animal, for any purpose, and the law wouldn't prosecute.
So you only viewed the clip partly (wow 6 minutes is too long?) and did not read the transcript before responding to the content?
If you only saw or read a portion then why respond to the content and remark on other peoples personal testimonies then give yours about being homeless and hungry and expect understanding? what a world ..."social media" it's nuts it's why I do the least and mostly watch to gauge the temperature of the end times...it's a drag but I am called to stay the watch and be alert. What I am witnessing is akin watching seeds of weeds planted by the enemy.
I have been there too during the Regan recession, homeless and hungry in the Appalachian country of WVA where so many are still in dire straights... but no one is speaking about their poverty and hunger nor is it a political issue in terms of the "election" and all the debating. These were born in the USA state of WVA don't count...just immigrants who are homeless and hungry is all that matters. The U.S. struggles to able to take care of it's own that is evident in the video I shared that started this thread with the testimony of some of the citizens of Springfield, Ohio.
EXCERPT: West Virginia has the greatest rate of food insecurity in the country, affecting over 15% of the population (about 269,250 West Virginians). About 6% (107,700 West Virginians) have very low food security, where there are multiple indications of disrupted eating patterns and reduced food intake.Jan 8, 2024

You may not know, I live in the country. Far enough there is no cable available. I gave the video a flat 20 minutes plus to load and it didn't. Never saw the transcript option.
I'm glad your misfortunes ended with the Reagan years.
Apparently you are taking my posts more adversarially than intended. Sorry.

You can view or read the transcript I posted of the testimony of the citizens I posted in regards...they were not all entirely negative I could see them struggling to reconcile the dilemma they find themselves in and asking the authorities for help but feel it's falling on deaf ears.

paid 1:33 from it I feel like I honestly feel like 1:35 someone's getting paid from it in the 1:36 background they dropping they you got a 1:40 bunch of people on a bus getting dropped 1:42 off at a gas station to come down here I 1:44 know a single mom that FaceTime me 1:46 tonight FaceTime me this morning at the 1:48 welfare office that really need like 1:50 that really need something and it's 1:52 nothing but immigrants over there 1:54 they're in the park grabbing up Ducks by 1:58 their neck and cutting their head off 1:59 and walking off with them and and eating 2:01 them like and it's going to get bigger 2:03 and it's only going to get worse and 2:04 y'all sitting up there in these chairs 2:06 y'all all y'all need to get out here and 2:08 do something y'all making hundreds of 2:09 it's it's lame bro like for real thank 2:43 you for your comments thank you driving 2:45 around Springfield I was looking at the 2:48 giant holes in some of our buildings I 2:50 noticed all of the old familiar spots 2:52 bearing new signs in an unfamiliar 2:55 language I watched as groups of 2:57 strangers walked around the city like 2:59 lost to tus and it was like a punch in 3:01 the gut a terrible sadness came over me 3:04 and I began to cry I immediately started 3:07 to think back to when I was little 3:09 walking from my Grandma's House on South 3:11 Fountain through downtown and all the 3:13 way to Snyder Park I feel like we have 3:15 been invaded by some sort of pest I'm 3:18 angry that my friends and family are 3:20 packing up and moving away I'm angry 3:23 that foreigners are using up the 3:24 resources that were set up for the 3:26 Americans that reside here I'm angry 3:29 that other country's flag was being 3:31 flown in our city I'm angry when I see 3:34 our businesses and recreational areas 3:36 littered with garbage left by people 3:38 that do not know or understand our laws 3:41 and culture and are making no attempt to 3:43 learn about them and let me be clear 3:46 this is not about race this is about 3:48 people being given the privilege of 3:50 coming here from another country and 3:52 having no respect for our people our 3:55 land or our life's work people living 3:58 their life here the way they did Haiti 4:00 angry stealing polluting living in filth 4:03 and acting like animals these are not 4:06 civilized people opening containers in 4:08 our grocery stores helping themselves to 4:11 what's inside and throwing the rest onto 4:12 the shelves and Floors pulling off of 4:15 the highway to publicly clean and gut 4:17 the roadkill lying there in front of 4:19 anyone that passes by stealing animals 4:21 from Farmers and leaving their separate 4:23 heads at the side of an old school where 4:25 children play relieving themselves in 4:28 public making some barbaric stew out of 4:31 the birds that live in our Park this is 4:33 insanity and it has to stop what will 4:36 become of Springfield where will we be 4:38 in 5 years the thought terrifies me 4:41 there have been firsthand reports 4:43 wrongway drivers on oneway Street 4:46 drivers ignoring stop signs and red 4:49 lights and other traffic issues there is 4:51 the impact on businesses having to deal 4:54 with language cultural differences uh 4:57 there is the strain on public res s 4:59 ources both governmental and private 5:02 services including health I'm going 5:05 taking my cart down the grocery aisle 5:06 and I have three 5:08 immigrants strapped across the aisle 5:11 seen me coming would not budge wouldn't 5:14 even and I said excuse me maybe they 5:16 didn't understand what I was saying but 5:18 I'm sure they understood that I was 5:19 trying to get through that 5:21 aisle so I have no recourse now but to 5:24 bust through it I'm not afraid to do so 5:28 you know I would like to see them have 5:31 some common respect some common decency 5:36 do not try to bully your way through 5:38 Springfield Ohio it's not going to work 5:40 out 5:41 well having thousands of new immigrant 5:44 neighbors move into our city during the 5:46 past few years has been stressful and 5:50 overwhelming but I am hopeful for a 5:52 shared future with 5:55 them speaking from personal experience 5:58 our Haitian neighbor neighbors and other 6:01 newcomers I have met have been kind 6:05 grateful hardworking people who want to 6:08 play a positive role in our 6:10 community they are students employees 6:14 business owners and consumers who are 6:17 contributing to our city
If anyone cares to do an online query of "Haiti hell on Earth" they will find many articles...here is one I am sharing dated 2013 but there are others that are dated recently as well covering the topic of "Haiti, hell on earth". If the rest of the world could only help them on Haiti if possible to lift them out of hell instead of moving it to another place in mass migration formation.

Consort? =No.
I am being an advocate for the other species of animals as usual that is never going to change. I seldom post on this board in case you have not noticed. But every now and then I will be a voice for the voiceless and it's not called consorting but in your imagination.

yes, thank you for being so superior to everyone ... especially me ... so thankful for your blessings ... Paul says infidel and I like that word ... it seems to apply to all of us here in purgatory ... or is this perdition?
Date: September 15, 2024 at 14:27:42 From: Eve, [DNS_Address] Subject: Re: Eating DUCKS? Residents of Springfield, Ohio Speak O
It's ironic that you complain about being ran off here by the "infidels" and then you try to run me off like one of your proclaimed "infidels" then continue to communicate to the others here you call "infidels"....Your thinking seems to stem from a contrary mindset. You are like a ship on a stormy sea like you have lost inner peace and busy yourself with casting stones.
All have sinned and fallen short of glory including you so it might be better for you do some inner reflecting and cease to think you are special because you think your Jewish flesh will open the pearly gate for you because it's a teaching of the Pharisees.
You are most unkind. I do not follow you, or Paul, I follow Christ my Lord.
My Lord never followed others around hounding them like you do but the hounds followed him around...so bark on it means I am doing something right...whatever.
