The Mayor doesn't want him. The city can't afford it.
Add to that Trumpco doesn't pay what they owe to the
cities he visits, so Springfield will be left holding
the bag. That's what Trump/Vance want, revenge on the
Mayor who had the effrontery to ask Vance to stop with
the lies.
And, of course, free time on the evening news. Another
win-win. Such a stable genius.

Trump said he is going to Springfield, Ohio, in the
next two weeks despite the mayor’s plea for him not to
visit after his incendiary jibes about immigrants
eating pets.
Doubling down on his remarks, Trump told a rally on
Wednesday that he may not make it out of the
beleaguered city alive.
...Trump was speaking just one day after Springfield’s
Republican Mayor Rob Rue said a Trump visit would be
“an extreme strain on our resources.”
“I’m going to go there in the next two weeks. I’m going
to Springfield,” the GOP presidential nominee told
supporters in Uniondale, New York.
“You may never see me again, but that’s OK. Got to do
what I got to do,” he added. “‘Whatever happened to
Trump?’ ‘Well, he never got out of Springfield.’”

From what I hear, his public announcement of his visit
to Springfield was also a surprise to his staff.
His biggest threat may be from his own campaign staff
who, once again, have to cover for whatever stupid thing
he says next, or announces.

It just gets hard to find appropriate words anymore, don'
it? Everything's off every scale.

Oh but you know me, I hafta try...lol...
I'm actually finding a microscopic thread of hope, within
his most recent angles of unhingedness, that maybe one or
two of his supporters *just might* connect that...well,
that this is seriously unhinged behavior, no matter how
else they might see him as their man, and get a clue...
