Subject: Guns…

I now see the father of the kid that yesterday killed people in Georgia has
been arrested. Good, it’s a start. But by my reckoning guns need to be
removed from our society. I don’t care the second amendment, I don’t
care anyone’s so called rights, and in fact I don’t think our constitution
gives people free rein with them.

The second amendment, in its entirety reads…

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State,
the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

And nobody when defending their so called rights to have guns ever,
EVER, reference the first half of that sentence. They are all for the right
to have sex with their guns, to fondle them and shove them up their ass,
but never, EVER, mention the fact that that right is in direct association
with them being a part of a “A well regulated Militia”, never.

And no, I don’t buy the idea that everyone is a hunter, and in fact if you
are a hunter you’re sick as it is and should have your guns taken away
from you.

Consider. I have a car. I have to take a test that proves I can operate it, I
have to register it, I have to have it checked for safety, and I have to
insure my use of it in the event that it is involved in an accident. All
before I can drive it on the streets. And, I have to renew that right every
year. Whereas that kids father gave him, a 14 year old kid, an assault rifle
without anything.. and that kid was able to take it out for a drive, and kill
people with nothing but the NRA’s blessing.

Our country is sick, and guns, and our need to possess them, is a major
symptom of our sickness. To heal from this I would support the outlawing
of assault rifles, I would support liability insurance for all gun owners, and
that guns must be locked up at all times. And I would support a lifetime
without the possibility of release, for anyone committing a crime, any
crime, steal candy from a baby, while possessing a gun.

Ordinary hunters don't need assault rifles. So very
few do, nothing would be lost to register and restrict
them.

They called that child Colt. After a horse or a gun,
how did he take it?

Damn tragedy.

"Our country is sick, and guns, and our need to possess

What good ideas. They would go far. However, I would
be surprised if the guns weren't locked up and a
teenager wouldn't know how to open it.

I think it is long past time to question why anyone needs a gun. What good
are they?

I mean, hunters, the classic reason, what's with that? I am all for someone
who actually hunts for subsistence, but think of it.. killing another for sport?
Killing someone, for, isn't a deer someone? Doesn't a deer have a family,
loved ones? So, what's with the idea of us, people, literally making a sport
out of killing them? That, to me, is a sickness our society, mankind, has
been afflicted with for a very long time. And one we can not evolve out of
here without outgrowing.

And I get it, we're all eating something, some one, and someone else is
eating us, or should be, but that's not what I am pointing out. I am saying
someone that goes to a store and buys a machine with the express purpose
of making killing another a sport is sick. Horribly horribly sick. And we, all of
us, ain't anywhere near our potential in a world where people do that. It is a
sickness and it infects all of us. How can anyone expect the grace of god if
we carry on like that?

Obviously I could go on.. to me guns are vile, evil things.. and the desire to
possess them is a disease..

But that's a long way from here. In practical terms.. we let people drive
machines that if used without caution kill people. For god's sake we make
not wearing a seatbelt illegal. And we do what with guns?

And I think anyone owning guns should have to carry at a minimum ten
million dollars in liability insurance per firearm. And anyone owning a gun is
100% liable for whatever that gun does whether it does it by their hand or
someone else does it. You want to own a gun.. if you think that is what will
make you happy, pay the freight.

On top of that I think the feds should have a country wide gun buyback
program, and give a hefty sum. Say five hundred bucks for a standard
firearm and a thousand bucks for assault type to any anonymous
surrendering of a firearm. And that program should remain in effect for as
long as people bring guns forward. I think 100 billion dollars invested would
be money well spent.

Like I said, I could go on..

Mitra, ao, such beautiful intelligent words and energies,
thank you...

My heart is utterly broken for this very obviously broken
young man who was irresponsibly armed and enabled to take
the lives of others...and for those who lost their lives,
and their loved ones...

I must believe that this country will reclaim and embody
the Spirit of Freedom it came into being within, for
ALL...including children being free of fear for their
lives, with adults paying the *comparatively
infinitesimal price* for that, of doing everything
possible to regulate arms...

I mean...I know many radical GOPers are frothing at the
mouth for a DJT win, so they can try their hand at a
Fascist insurrection again...and of course they'll need
maximum firepower for that, so there's no way the GOP
will support gun regulation regardless of how many
children die in school shootings...because they can
always say, "The shooter would've gotten a gun however
they needed to..." This is the way GOPer morality works,
don'tcha know...lol...they're not responsible for
*anything* that *could happen anyway*...

So now we know this child was given the gun. It wasn't
locked up. The child will spend the rest of his life
in prison, no less for the dad. They (the NRA/GOP
cretins) have got their scapegoat, wahoo. No challenge
to existing laws, again.

And because no one "defunded" the police i.e. put
resources into community care, there was no one to
follow up on the initial warning call. No matter now.
They'll be able to punish the perpetrators. At least
the ones in jail. Another victory for the flawed
existing order.

The poor families of the victims and others at school
will be punished their whole lives long, too. My heart
breaks for them, for too many, shot or escaped, this
will be a defining moment for their school years.

All because some (looks to me) meth head wanted a tough
kid to brag about. The GOP needs to project an image of
manly men, so expect no changes.

because we all know Jesus was born with a gun in the
manger, and the wisemen brought him 3 more when they
arrived. Then they shot the inkeeper, the animals and
the sick and the poor as they brought their message
across the land.

Exactly.

Their ignorance is so spectacular, they actually imagine
themselves to be honoring/protecting/carrying forward the
Spirit of the United States...

They hallucinate that they are "patriots" when in fact
their mentality and their stated agenda literally defines
them as insurrectionist thugs...

Counting the days...
