I don't know if they still make it, but there used to be a line of shaved deli meats sold in small packages, Carl Buddig I think it was... Mom would start out making a roux with margarine and flour, then add milk...then cut up and add in the Buddig beef, heat it through... Served it on top of toasted local bakery bread we'd get a couple days old, yumyumyum... ;D |
