about 30 years ago while driving through Yellowstone I came upon a valley with a
herd of buffalo grazing. there were about 150 in the valley and one bull on
the top of a hill about "70 yards" away from me. up ahead there were 25 cars and
people standing out side taking pictures. then I saw the bull run down the hill
towards me after some "50 yards" I watched him closely as he got closer.
when he got near the upside edge of the road I was on it was plain he was coming for me.
my car still running and in drive I stepped on it to get out of his way, just '10' yards away.
he stopped exactly where I was parked looking for me both ways.
I am still baffled as to why my gray car and he did not go after any other parked ones.
that was enough for me to see the herd.
a few years later I did see bull 'destroy' a visitor's car on the news.
