Subject: Life is Sort of Like a Carnival Ride


I had to grin when I just heard a 40 something talk to
younger co-commentators saying 25 years go by quickly.

Like a roller coaster, the start is so painfully slow
(to a preschooler, Christmas takes FOREVER to come
around). It slowly picks up speed. At which time it
reaches the middle, the top (middle age) and as it
passes that top, it picks up speed as it more quickly
races to the point where the healthiest and the
strongest are lucky enough to have held on so long.
