in the middle of the night (which is when I bake) making yummy banana nut muffins (so the bananas aren't wasted)...one batch in and out, the other going in and the lights start flickering with this mad storm....said a quick prayer to the cooking Gods, please give me 15 more minutes to get these muffins done....too many good ingredients to waste!..and the cooking gods kept the electric on.....its still on thankfully, long enough for us to have a couple. so if anyone wants a great banana nut muffin recipe....I can post on 'personal board'...grin, well, it made me laugh 'at myself'...

Always good to have a smile or a laugh and your banana
nut muffins sound wonderful! I once had to make a huge
batch of peanut butter cookies and although the lights
were on...I spent most of the night baking them. I had
to make 120 of them in a rather small oven. Wasn't
until 3 in the morning that I had finished. So raced
over early in the morning to drop them off...when I got
back home to clean up...I realized I had dropped off
120 peanut butter cookies...without the peanut butter.
There was the huge jar of it...still unopened on the
counter...I stopped baking late at night after
that...LOLOL.

my most 'ack' one was when my ex husbands came to visit many moons ago...and he had bragged to them about my blackberry pie....well the cousin and I got to yakking in the kitchen so much.....well when dinner was over, and they went to dig into the pie, I had forgotten to put sugar into it.....talk about some puckered faces....lol....
I sure have had my share of burning things too...then scooping out the burned parts hoping it didn't spoil the whole dish...

They sound yummy, kay, wish I could! ;-)
Something I'm being reminded of on a daily basis,
lately: Y'know that old saying, "It's the little things
in life," reminding us to appreciate all the various
small ways our lives go *right,* stop and smell the
roses, etc., so to speak...?
What's being emphasized to me in accelerating volume
and frequency is: Those "little things" are *SO NOT
LITTLE* especially ANYMORE...! lol Right? ;->
