Israeli forces are continuing the “Iron Wall” military operation in the illegally
occupied West Bank. It began on January 21 and today marks the 59th day of
operations in Jenin, the 54th day in Tulkarm, and the third day in Nablus.
▪️ In Jenin refugee camp, Israeli troops have set several homes on fire and are
blocking the road to Jenin Governmental Hospital with dirt barriers. (See our
post from earlier on more from Jenin)
▪️ In Tulkarm’s Da’irat al-Sir neighborhood, Israeli forces have forced over 100
families to flee their homes.
▪️ Israeli forces have also carried out raids in:
➤ Nablus
➤ Arabona and Beit Qad near Jenin
➤ Balata refugee camp (east of Nablus)
▪️ Israeli settlers have established a new settlement outpost in the towns of
Aqraba and Majdal Bani Fadel, southeast of Nablus.
▪️ In the Wadi al-Matwi area of Burqin (Salfit District), settlers burned down a
house.
▪️ Israeli forces detained 60 Palestinians from the West Bank who were on a
bus headed to Al-Aqsa Mosque.
▪️ Protected by Israeli troops, settlers entered Al-Aqsa Mosque.
▪️ Northwest of Bethlehem in Al-Walaja, Israeli forces demolished a house and
an agricultural structure.
Earlier this week, Netanyahu said “While we are waging a powerful war against
Hamas in the Gaza Strip, we are aware of the possibility that a larger and more
powerful front could open up here in Judea and Samaria (West Bank).”
