The area is full of shops and markets, lots of people living there. It is a Hezbollah- controlled area with their own checkpoints monitoring who goes in or out Israeli army has issued a statement saying it carried out a “targeted strike” in Beirut. Extensive damage has been reported as a residential building was completely destroyed.
