Zelenskyy made the case during an in-person meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group at Ramstein Air Base in Germany. He appeared to make inroads with some of the defense leaders from the 50-plus partner nations who regularly gather to coordinate weapons aid for the war. But he did not appear to sway the ally he needs most. After the talks, U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin pushed back on the idea that long-range strikes would be a game-changer. “I don’t believe one capability is going to be decisive and I stand by that comment,” Austin said. On the other hand, if Russia quits and China doesn't step up, we (the amorphous West) will have the expertise (Europe) and the energy (Donbas) and the military (NATO+ added countries) to dominate Europe, the Middle East and power Africa's proper entrance into the *free market*. LOL, that last bit is hilarious. Free market. Ha!!! But unless China plays along and is taken care of, it will bite back ala Japan, who entered into a war they were certain to lose rather than assimilate willingly. Revenge doesn't set well on the future. China is preparing for eventualities, either war soon, 200 million extra men (!) or later, no more one child policy! in 20 years another war, and tomorrow the world. Or, I could be wrong. ;) |
