Very intelligent and caring man-speaks truth, started
out as heart surgeon in Egypt- went to comedy/satire.
Lives in the USA- hear his story on channel 4news
interview located in UK. I've listened to his comedy
and story prior to your posting - several months ago.
In interview he explains why he doesn't cover the
Israel/Palestine subject anymore.

To me, his story is very inspirational. People like him
get attacked by people in power and it means only one
thing: people in power are doing something wrong and we
have the capacity to stop them. That is why they are
deathly afraid of being found out. Information is a
very powerful tool.
I am hopeful that there are enough decent people in the
world who would bravely share with the world the
information that is being held in secret, so that the
rest of the world can act on it and correct the
injustices.
If we don't matter, people in power would pay no
attention to us. But the fact that they are spying on
us, trying to suppress us, trying to brainwash us means
that we still hold the keys to power. The question is:
will we exercise our power? I think yes. We just need
to see the full picture. And guys like Bassem, or
FriendlyJordies, or Assange, or Snowden are essential.
Massive respect.
