CIA 'warns Iran will attack Israel within 48 hours' as revenge for consulate strike

The CIA has warned Israel that Iran will attack the country in the next 48 hours, it has been reported.
Israel killed two Iranian military commanders with a strike on Tehran's consulate in the Syrian capital Damascus this week.
Iran vowed that it would take revenge for the attack, and now foreign media is reporting that US intelligence is fearful of an attack on Israel.
Iran is said to be planning a combined attack with a "rain" of drones and missiles fired from its bases at strategic locations inside Israel, according to Al Mayadeen.
This comes after US officials raised fears that the Israeli strike could lead to a wider war in the Middle East.
Ralph Goff, a former senior CIA official who operated in the Middle East, said Israel's strike was "reckless" adding that “it will only result in escalation by Iran and its proxies.”
Speaking to the New York Times, he added that Israel is trying to hit the Iranian Revolutionary Guard to "punish them for ongoing plots to kill or kidnap Israeli Jews around the world."
Former US Central Command chief and retired four-star general Kenneth F. McKenzie warned the attack was a "blow" for Iran.
He also said “Iran’s options to hit Israel are very, very limited,” and “the Israelis aren’t going to back down.”
Dana Stroul, the Pentagon’s former top Middle East policy official, warned the strike was a “significant escalation and risks tipping an already volatile, unstable region into full-scale war.”
She continued: “The question is, will Iran respond in a manner that deescalates the situation, or will it climb further up the escalation ladder?
"[The strike] should have a strategic effect on how the Quds Force operates abroad and should erode any semblance of invincibility or deniability that this terrorist organization only brings instability and violence to the places it seeks to operate."
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said after the attack: “After repeated defeats and failures against the faith and will of the Resistance Front fighters, the Zionist regime has put blind assassinations on its agenda in the struggle to save itself."
Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei added: “The evil Zionist regime will be punished at the hands of our brave men. We will make them regret this crime and the other ones."

You know, I haven't posted on the
National board for some time now and
for good reason. I see things from
within that aren't aligned with many
here, and one was if Biden became
president, our whole planet would be
in jeopardy due to an all out
nuclear war. What saddened me most
is the blindness of so many due to
their hatred that was allowed to
manifest of the one who would have
kept an all nuclear war from
happening. And now you want to keep
Biden in office for another four
years. The Middle East is a ticking
time bomb that's at the one second
mark to midnight. You have Russia at
a point of do or die situation with
Nato at it's doorstep. China is just
quietly waiting for the right moment
to destroy us. Sometimes I say
quietly to myself when I do read
some of the posts on the National
board, "who are these people
thinking the way they do", sorry,
but it's the truth!

it is strange that while folks around this country see we have a lack of
leadership some here are in denial of that obvious fact

I hate to say it, we're at a point
in time that it is obvious that
there are so many in our nation who
our spoon fed to the head by the
media on who they should vote for,
and how to think not for themselves.
The world is becoming too fast, and
it's not natural or healthy for
humans. And thus, you see a decline
in mental health, which in turn
leads to drug and alcohol abuse,
loss of family and spiritual values,
higher crime, and a loss of
consciousness for others, it's a me
world. Basically people in this
country because of what I said
above, they're voting aimlessly, and
because of this, our nation is in
deep trouble. Nature is what will
eventually bring back sanity with a
shock and awe event, unfortunately
it will wipe out most humans.
Question is, will a all out nuclear
war happen beforehand, I surely hope
not. But either way, our future
doesn't look promising.
