we've had 17-18 inches since christmas eve...about an inch and a half daily average for the past 10 days...

way. Aren't you used to a decent amount of rain?

a fair amount, yes...but more spread out over the rainy season...that is a lot of rain in a short period...on the bright side, shasta reservoir is the fullest it has been in a long time though...it seems the southern cutoff for the storms was mid-state...bay area...
