A swarm is going on of micro quakes in the Willow lake area. 17 just
yesterday the 24th. See link above.

Just one mile north of this swarm is Terminal Geyser. 1 1/2 miles NW of
Teminal Geyser, is Boiling Springs Lake. 2 miles W/NW of here is Devils
Kitchen, and 3 3/4 miles W/NW of Devils Kitchen is Bumpass Hell. Last but
not least, 1.85 miles W/SW of Bumpass Hell, is the Sulphur Works, Which is
the middle of an ancient volcano called Mt. Tehama (also referred to as
Brokeoff Volcano) that towered 11,000 feet high half a million years ago.

All of these Geothermal areas are within Lassen Volcanic National Park. The
park boundary is located right at the top of the meadow, above Willow Lake.

Many, many times, I have taken family and friends up to Willow Lake, and
hiked up to Terminal Geyser. Unfortunately, the Dixie Fire ravaged this area.
I hope it will recover quickly.

The pic above is Terminal Geyser.

Something appears to be going on with a LOT of once dormant Volcanoes. I've read 2 articles now recently, about Mt. St. Helen and Mt. Olympus in Washington and Oregon's Mt. Hood...that are causing geologists to worry.

Oregon has a LOT of volcanoes. You might be on one right now.

"....In the Cascade volcanic chain, that extends from Lassen Peak in northern California to Meager Mountain in British Columbia...."
