Water Main Bursts can be an earthquake precursor.
The ground moves, the pipe doesn't and thus pipe breaks.
This water main that burst appears to be ....probably/likely....right on the Newport Inglewood fault line.......if not right on it, it is very near it, sad to say.

About the Newport-Inglewood Fault line, and past eruptions: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newport%E2%80%93Inglewood_Fault
However on the positive side, the quakes/tremors in CA have died down to 600 from their full moon high last week of over 1,000 quakes/tremors in 7 days.

But most of the states activity have been along So. CA faultlines.
Lots of small tremors are good for releasing pressure.
But of course, TOO MANY of these tremors, could be indicative of something bigger brewing.
That's the problem with small tremors,
you just never know for sure what they are up to.

One week ago, we had evidence of underground movement along the Newport-Inglewood fault line with a broken water main. Now a week later, a 2.8 micro quake again on the Newport-Inglewood fault line.
A micro earthquake occurred at 1:46:00 PM (PDT) on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.
The magnitude 2.8 event occurred 3 km (2 miles) NE (50 degrees) of Newport Beach, CA.
The hypocentral depth is 13 km ( 8 miles).
And micro quake count for the past 7 days has gone back up from 600's to 822.
We are in a New Moon phase.
