No doubt the Salton Sea is the lock and loaded trigger for the entire Sandy Andy.
Alex Fox
New research led by scientists at San Diego State University (SDSU) in collaboration with UC San Diego’s Scripps Institution of Oceanography finds that as the Salton Sea in Southern California has dried up, it has stabilized the southern section of the San Andreas Fault, perhaps delaying the next “big one.”
This section of the fault poses the largest seismic hazard in all of California because of the damage a significant earthquake could cause to the populous Los Angeles metropolitan area.
The paper, published on June 7, 2023 in the journal Nature, shows that for the last 1,000 years major earthquakes emanating from the southern San Andreas Fault have coincided with periods when the basin that holds the Salton Sea filled with water to form the prehistoric Lake Cahuilla – a body of water with 40 times the volume of the present-day Salton Sea.
The researchers investigated this relationship with computer modeling and found that when the Salton Sea basin filled, Lake Cahuilla’s weight bent the surrounding crust and its water penetrated deep underground, each of which altered the forces acting on the fault in ways that could help trigger a massive rupture and severe shaking.
This research, funded by the Southern California Earthquake Center, National Science Foundation, NASA, and the U.S. Geological Survey, suggests that the tight relationship between big-time seismic activity and the filling of the Salton Sea basin may also help explain why the southern section of the San Andreas Fault is long overdue for its next major shakeup. However, delaying the “big one” may only give the fault more time to accumulate stress, potentially making the eventual earthquake more powerful.

Question?
What is the current status of the Salton Sea?
Is it empty now?
Or has it filled with these last 2 years of good rain fall???

Like Utah, California has had pipeline dreams to save its drying Salton Sea
Most people don’t know that California’s largest lake — the Salton Sea — was a mishap.
Birthed in 1905 when the Colorado River experienced massive floods, the accidental lake soon became a community commodity....

There is one calling for a large quake LA area, coastline on or before 6/6. He even moved his family out of LA. It’s something he’s been “told or show “ for many years. This is not scientific at all & I never believe anything usually with a date. Your post has me curious now.

Southern California- Large Earthquake Swarm! Close to the San Andreas Fault. Saturday 5/18/2024
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ICCqKyI4rFk
I’ve been monitoring the seismic activity since the Solar Storms/Auroras hit, as X class solar storms can trigger quakes. At that time CA activity was about 735 quakes/week. Yesterday it was at about 850, and now its over 1,000 tremors/quakes in the past 7 days. A definite upward trend, and its still going up. All small quakes.
The San Andreas is popping all over the state. There are two silent (locked) areas, one in San Bernardino area just above Salt Lake, and the other area is north of Tejon Pass (the I-5 grapevine), and south of the Big Sur/San Benito area.
-------
This map shows where the USGS expects the next big quake to come from:
https://printablemapaz.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/third-uniform-california-earthquake-rupture-forecast-ucerf3-usgs-earthquake-map-california.png
This map shows the likelihood of the locations of the next 6.7M+ quake to hit: areas that are in Hot Pink. I needed to use a magnifying glass, but the area where this current quake swarm is located, is just south of the San Andreas, and that San Andreas area is in Hot Pink! We are talking about the Salton Sea area, and north of the Salton Sea. So, its possible this quake swarm might well be a precursor to bigger San Andreas Faultline quake.
------
We are also coming up to a Full Moon too (Thurs May 23), where the Moon’s gravitational pull on earth will be the strongest of the month. This can trigger quakes too.
Full moon in May 2024, will be on the 23rd, this Thursday.
-------
The Garlock Faultline:
https://printablemapforyou.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/map-of-san-andreas-fault-in-southern-california-klipy-map-of-the-san-andreas-fault-in-southern-california.jpg
And I hate to say it but there is a lot of activity on the Garlock Fault too, which intersects with the San Andreas Faultline near the Tejon Pass (the I-5 grapevine) area.
This is troublesome for me because of that prophecy from the 1930’s that the Garlock Fault will be involved in the major quake that puts the LA basin and San Francisco under water.
Found it: “San Francisco was feeling it,…..I seemed to see it was the GARLOCK FAULT, not just the SAN ANDREAS that was rocking San Francisco…..”
1937 VISION OF THE COMING EARTHQUAKE by Joe Brandt https://themostimportantnews.com/archives/11-prophecies-of-the-giant-earthquake-that-will-cause-parts-of-california-to-fall-into-the-pacific-ocean
<< This Joe Brandt prophecy (linked above) is a bit unnerving, because it was from 1936, yet he described perfectly the type of dress and cars today. He noted men wearing beards and earings, which he thought was bizarre. Women wearing afros and very short short skirts. He saw LA's 5 lane freeway roads, which weren't even dreamed about in 1936.
Anyway, I have noticed an uptick in small quakes all along the Garlock Fault which is a little unusual. Its usually pretty quiet. So I've been keeping an eye on that too.
-------
Lastly, it is now exactly 41 days since the Solar Eclipse on April 8, that seemed to have Jonah and Ninevah written all over it. (Jonah the Old Testament prophet was sent to warn the wicked city of Ninevah that in 40 days, God was going to destroy their city. Surprisingly, this wicked city repented and everyone fasted including the cattle required to fast! God spared Ninevah.)
Many feel this solar eclipse over the USA was a warning to the USA that we had 40 days to repent. If true, I haven't noticed anyone repenting and fasting and praying, have you? No, I didn't think so. So the USA is due for God's judgment any time now.
GOD’S JUDGMENT WARNING? April solar eclipse to cast darkness across 7 U.S. towns named “Ninevah” from the Bible
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y-z1jWgmC40
"The Great American Eclipse of April 8, 2024 is truly going to be a once in a lifetime event. …. this eclipse will pass over 7 locations named “Ninevah” as it moves across our country. …I have also learned that the eclipse will go over a location in Texas named “Jonah” too."
All of this will happen while Cetus the whale constellation is high in the sky. The signs of Jonah is all the signs we will receive.
(Originally Jonah refused to go warn Ninevah, and he hopped on a ship going in the opposite direction. But a big storm came up, and the sailors drew lots and threw Jonah over board, as the lots fell to him, that he had angered God. God arranged for a whale to swallow Jonah, and whale took Jonah all the way to Ninevah and spit Jonah up on the beach near Ninevah. Jonah decided to obey God and deliver the 40 day warning.)
Anyway all this stuff is rattling around these days. So, best to stay close to God these days.

You know when I stop and think about it, all of So. CA (Los Angeles) has had a LOT of 4M's all over the place in the past 6 months or so. I wish I could find a list or a map of these.
Ah, I found a pretty good link, with a map showing the locations. So it was not my imagination, we have had quite a few 4+M quakes in recent months.
-------
In 2024, California has had 14,156 quakes of magnitudes up to 5.6:
1 quake above magnitude 5 20 quakes between magnitude 4 and 5 109 quakes between magnitude 3 and 4 922 quakes between magnitude 2 and 3 13,104 quakes below magnitude 2 that people normally don't feel.
Look up all recent and past quakes! Strongest: Mag. 5.6 Earthquake 189 km WSW of Port Orford, Oregon - 8 weeks ago
