The 2022 Mw 6.4 Ferndale earthquake sequence provides the latest such example, with coseismic slip within the Gorda slab likely triggering postseismic slip on the subduction interface. |

Here's a short video about the 1992 earthquake off off Petrolia. Up in the mountains above Fortuna, bluish flashes of lights were flickering after the earthquake at night time according to a long time local who I knew who witnessed them. There were also some strong aftershocks also. |
