A magnitude 3.5 earthquake struck in Fullerton, California, near Disneyland, on Monday night, and the park temporarily closed several rides, according to the Orange County Register.
The quake hit at 8:10 p.m. with a depth of about 6.6 miles, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The epicenter was near Riverside Drive and Raymond Avenue in Fullerton, several miles northeast of Disneyland.
The USGS said more than 2,800 people reported feeling shaking to the agency through its Felt Report.

Brian Olson, an earthquake hazard scientist, was at his house in Fullerton when the quake hit, and he wrote in social media that he “felt a single jolt.”
The Cal State Fullerton Police Department issued a statement in social media alerting students to the quake; the department said that quakes of this size do not typically cause damage.
The Register reported that at least 35 rides were temporarily shut down; Disneyland did not immediately respond to a request to confirm this number. The attractions that were temporarily closed to allow staff to follow safety protocol included everything from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad to the Matterhorn Bobsleds; there were no reports of damage at Disneyland or California Adventure, according to the news site.
“A brief but noticeable earthquake was felt in Anaheim shortly after 8 p.m. Monday,” the city of Anaheim posted on social media after the quake hit.
