A 4.0 earthquake struck near Isleton, Calif., at 7:42 a.m. on Oct. 23, 2023. USGS
LATEST Oct. 23, 8:48 a.m. The U.S. Geological Survey downgraded the magnitude of an earthquake that struck in Sacramento County on Monday morning from 4.0 to 2.9.
The magnitude 2.9 shaker hit at 7:42 a.m. at Twitchell Island in the Delta, 3 miles south of Isleton.
The epicenter was less than a mile south of the 4.2-magnitude quake that hit in the same area on Oct. 18.
Oct. 23, 8:23 a.m. An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.0 gave the Sacramento area a shake on Monday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The quake struck 7:42 a.m. near the town of Isleton with a depth of 4.97 miles.
People reported feeling shaking in the Antioch, Oakley and Rio Vista areas, according to the USGS intensity map.

Interesting!I live by antioch and was sitting at kitchen table when it happened it was definitely bigger..Good jolt.Dont think i would have felt a 2.9 like that...And my ph was on so with that jolt and the EA scared the crap out of me!Omg talk about drama.
