The Midas Touch

With her fingers
she .......transmutes
greens to golds..
Antiques, brights, muted
bronzes
The ground glazed
with gold fairy dust,
autumn leaves
carpeting the earth
preparing for winter.

My eyes devour the scene
like a hungry peasant,
brought to the feast...
sampling all...touching
then exploring every rocky
mossy crevice.
Each tree, a joy to my sight
until my eyes overflow,
rivulets of joy, the outpouring
of life caressing me,
enveloping me....in love.
