Possible Foreshocks
There were 19 events during the 3 days prior to the earthquake (within a 10 km radius). The largest was M2.5 (2023/08/20).
Historical Seismicity
Since records began in 1932 we’ve had 5 events of M4 or greater within 10km of today’s event.
The most recent historic event was M4.1 on 12 Mar 2016.

I am in Camarillo and at 3:30 am I felt the 2.5, listed on the USGS. I felt a little fear as I remembered a long ago prediction about the next big one will either be in Ventura or Los Angeles. I sure felt the 5.1 … like a truck hit the house. It’s been almost 30 years since 1994 Northridge.
Glad you guys are still here.

Hey Mark,
Let the kids know that the gold panning should be good next year.
They probably aren't kids anymore. LOL
Time flies.
