First map of new eruption, noting that the strike of the fissure is just south of the high of the rift. As such instead of having a clear path to the north where the lava would quickly encounter a highway before flowing into the ocean, it is flowing to the southwest and will merge with the flow field of the last event, and stay out of developed areas.. |
