Earthquake activity in Fagradalsfjall area continues.. with the ongoing swarm
under the area of the last two eruptions, and a newer, slightly offshore to the
southwest, swam starting up in the last so many hours.

But the reason I am posting is to share the latest InSAR wave interferometry
(above) which shows crustal movements on the Reykjanes Peninsula from
June 28 to July 6. The center of the area where changes are detected in the
image is at Litla Keili (a bit north northeast of the last eruption). A color
pattern from red to red represents a displacement of 15 millimeters. All told,
so far, there has been more than 200 millimeters (over 7 inches) of
deformation in the area above the swarm.

Iceland is such a special tiny place, -many of my relatives have explored Iceland, -I've not...

this particular Nordic Country is never in the news, -it's great to preserve the unique nature of Iceland..

thus less tourists , -less pollution...
