Subject: NO WARMING AT ALL: Global COOLING continues for eighth straight year,

URL: according to NOAA data

According to the latest data from the National Oceanic
and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), there has been
no “global warming” over the past decade. Instead,
global COOLING continues for the eighth consecutive
year! The NASA satellite data finds a 0.11°C/decade
drop in average global temperatures over the past eight
years and five months.

CO2 emissions, whether natural or man-made, are not
driving the world into an “existential crisis” of
global warming. Despite 475 billion tons of man-made
CO2 emissions in the Earth’s atmosphere, there still
isn’t any evidence over the past decade that global
warming exists or that it will “end the planet as we
know it.”

Greenhouse gas effect is not the sole driver of global
temperatures, and CO2 emissions will not end the world
It turns out that the greenhouse gas effect alone
(observed on a small scale) does not extrapolate across
the entire planet. There are many confounding factors
in climate, weather, and ecology that keep the
greenhouse gas effect in balance. The unpredictability
of seasonal air masses, ocean currents, tectonic
activity, photosynthesis, and solar activity are large
confounding factors that are all forgotten when global
warming alarmists hyper-focus on CO2 and the greenhouse
gas effect. Weather modification programs and
geoengineering can also be used to manipulate natural
processes, weather patterns, and temperature, skewing
overall temperature data.

Of course, there’s no foolproof way to accurately take
the Earth’s temperature anyway, with so many variances
occurring on a momentary basis in the atmosphere, on
the ground, and throughout the oceans. What we do know
is what we can feel in our own regional climates from
season to season. The US Northeast is currently
experiencing record cold temperatures. For example, Mt.
Washington, N.H., just recorded a record low -45.5
degrees Fahrenheit and -107 degree wind chill. A record
Siberian air mass blanketed the entire United States
Christmas week 2022, bringing near record lows all the
way to Florida. Even the fear-mongering media is
reporting on record arctic temperatures in the
Northeast, with reports coming out, saying, “Arctic
outbreak shatters records in Northeast.” In the
Southern US, there was a near-record low for hurricane
activity during the 2022 hurricane season.

Fact checkers sell more global warming fear, ignoring
cooling trends
Correlation does not equal causation. CO2 levels are
being frivolously correlated with past warming trends,
as the cooling trends are dismissed. When the cooling
cycles return with rising CO2 levels, (as observed over
the past eight years) the whole CO2-global warming
theory loses its credibility.

Of course, the “fact checkers” were quick to dismiss
the data on global cooling over the past decade. The
latest Feb 3 “fact check” made sure to sell the global
warming hoax a little harder by claiming that eight
years of data on global cooling “is not a trend” and
that we should be preparing for the planet’s end. The
fact check claims that “eight cooler years cannot be
extrapolated to draw conclusion on long term global
warming.”

The fact checkers claim the eight years of global
cooling data do not change the overall trajectory of
global warming over the past several decades. The fact
checkers can extrapolate data over several decades to
“prove” their theory and push their narrative to
benefit the global elite, but they fail to recognize
the cooling trends, and why the fluctuations in
temperature are part of a larger cycle that is beyond
man’s control. There is no reason to fear monger about
temperatures, unless there is a global economic agenda
to implement. Of course, that’s what all the fear and
panic is for – to motivate governments to comply with
global agendas that benefit the select few who engineer
artificial crises.

WION Climate Tracker: Scientists revive 48,500-year-old ‘zombie virus’ buried in ice | English News

French scientists have revived a 48,500-year-old "zombie virus" buried under a frozen lake in Russia. Scientists have long warned that the thawing of permafrost due to atmospheric warming will worsen climate change by freeing
previously trapped greenhouse gases like methane.

Subject: Cacti replacing snow on Swiss mountainsides due to global heating

URL: https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2023/feb/10/cacti-replacing-snow-on-swiss-mountainsides-due-to-global-heating

(Usually I have a comment before pasting an article; no
need in this instance. Truth needs nothing from me here
to speak elegantly well on its own.)

Invasive species proliferating in Valais is encroaching
on natural reserves and posing a biodiversity threat

The residents of the Swiss canton of Valais are used to
seeing their mountainsides covered with snow in winter
and edelweiss flowers in summer. But as global heating
intensifies, they are increasingly finding an invasive
species colonising the slopes: cacti.

Authorities say cactus species belonging to the genus
Opuntia, or prickly pears, are proliferating in parts of
Valais, encroaching on natural reserves and posing a
biodiversity threat.

“A lover of dry and hot climates, this invasive and non-
native plant is not welcome in the perimeter of prairies
and dry pastures of national importance,” the
municipality of Fully in the Rhone valley said in a press
release announcing the uprooting campaign in late 2022.

Opuntia species and similar cacti have also proliferated
in some of the hills around the capital of Valais, in
Sion, where estimates suggest Opuntia plants now make up
23-30% of the low vegetation cover. Their presence has
also been reported in neighbouring Alpine regions,
including Ticino and Grisons in Switzerland, and the
Aosta valley and Valtellina in Italy.

“In some parts of Valais, we estimate that the cacti can
occupy one-third of the available surface,” says Yann
Triponez, a biologist who works in the canton of Valais’
nature protection service. He says Opuntia have been
present in Valais at least since the late 18th century,
when it was imported from North America.

But authorities believe that a warmer climate in the
Alps, allowing for longer vegetation periods, and the
diminishing snow cover might be creating the ideal
conditions for them to spread.

“These species bear -10C or -15C without any problem,”
says Peter Oliver Baumgartner, a retired geology
professor with a longstanding side interest in botany who
has been commissioned by the canton to study and write a
report on the plants. “But they want to be in a dry place
and don’t like snow cover.”

Snow is becoming rarer at lower altitudes, even in the
Alps. According to Meteo Swiss, the number of snow days
under 800 metres of altitude in Switzerland has halved
since 1970. A recent study published in Nature Climate
Change said snow covers the Alps for about a month less
than historical averages and called the situation
“unprecedented in the last six centuries.”

Temperatures across the range have been rising twice as
fast as the global average, and average temperatures in
Switzerland are already 2.4C warmer than 1871-1900
averages. “If you look at climate change reports,”
Baumgartner says, “the curves for Switzerland are almost
as steep as for the Arctic.”

Nine species have spread on sunny, south-facing slopes
below 700 metres of altitude, where they compete with
endemic and sometimes threatened species. “Valais is one
of the biodiversity hotspots in Switzerland,” says
Triponez. “We have about 3,000 species of plants in
Switzerland, and some 2,200 are in Valais.”

He says authorities are worried by the cacti’s spread to
natural reserves and protected areas. “When you have
these cacti, nothing else grows,” says Triponez. “Each
pad covers the soil and prevents other plants from
growing through.”

Baumgartner says that only four of the nine Opuntia
species in Valais represent a threat to local ecosystems,
particularly in areas with acid or neutral soils, which
account for one-third of the valley’s south-facing
slopes.

Quantitative data about their spread is incomplete
because Baumgartner’s report, which has not yet been
published, is the first recent attempt to estimate the
plants’ presence in the region. But Baumgartner says
there is abundant evidence of their proliferation in
several areas he has visited.

The uprooting campaign will resume in the next few weeks
in Fully, and Triponez says authorities have also
launched an awareness campaign to inform residents, who
sometimes plant the cacti, and tourists about the threat.

Preventing Opuntia from proliferating will not be an easy
task. The plants reproduce easily, growing back even when
felled, stepped on by hikers or left dry for months, and
recover quickly after they are uprooted.

A decade ago, eradication campaigns were unsuccessful in
Sion. In Fully, when the species were uprooted last year,
the plants were heaped up in a forest, where authorities
thought shade and humidity would make them rot and
compost. But when Baumgartner visited the heap, the pads
at the top appeared to be thriving. At the same time, the
cacti are also growing back in most places they were
uprooted from, making biologists like Baumgartner doubt
whether the cacti can be eradicated at all.

“We can restrict them,” he says. “But I don’t think we
can get rid of them.”

The person who seems to have started this controversy seemingly cropped the graphs
in his favor and for his cause which seems to be political. Some things I read reported
he is not showing the long term trend this way by cropping data.

His name is Steve J. Milloy, he knows the loop holes, he is a lawyer.

He used to work for Fox News and is the editor for a website called junksceince.com

"Steven J. Milloy is a lawyer, lobbyist, author and former Fox News commentator" (from a web search)

I am not partisan in any manner. I do not trust the ballot box podium they are double minded, say one thing and do another. When it
comes to climate and the man made contributions to it involving a heavily toxic unclean environment I cannot deny my part. We are
being swept along by the consumerism tsunami with no end in sight just the final conclusion ending. I don't see how any politician
can fix what it has become or undo the damage, it's too far gone imo.

As keepers of the vineyard it's tragic for us all.

OMG cc. Yes. I did see that they weren't YOUR graphs and
charts. I did see that they were from NOAA. I do read,
you know. ;) You keep repeating this question as if you
actually gave that agency unquestioning credibility! You
do that *so well* when you're invested in the
answer/explanation anyone or any organization/agency
provides... ;)

I'll still trust the physical evidence smacking me in the
face over numbers and lines on pieces of paper... Unless,
of course, you have some credible, brilliant and
convinctly accurate explanation as to why and how (in
this example) cacti are growing on high-elevation
mountainsides in Switzerland... Why/how so many glaciers
are disappearing...

I'm sure you'll have something lined up! Let's hear it!

just like in the movie, "Day After Tomorrow!"
what was temporarily experienced was from the Tonga volcano last year.
as the ice melts and goes to the Equator area and floods island nations.
this will put pressure on the largest ocean plate the Pacific.
the weight will cause subductions to make many other volcanoes to erupt.
these eruption will dump into the air enough sun blocking particles that
one day no sun will see the earth, coming soon near you all.

no food will grow without the sun.
so then add to this the Geoengineering experiment by David Keith from Harvard.
I believe there has been two or three years of his experimenting by placing
particles into the upper atmosphere to block the sun.

when I contacted the group very many years ago there was no plan as to how to
remove the stuff from the upper atmosphere and they said it would eventually
fall to earth. google David Keith on TED conferences and watch his speech.
LEARN!!!

I have been involved in weather watching since the mid 1950s. during the 1980s
do any of you remember the "so called Neuclear winter experiment?"
the study has been hidden from view along with most temperature reports, it caused very many deaths!
peoples homes burnt up, 6 foot deep water pipes froze!

mean while the Tonga volcano cloud moves around the polar cap.
it will be gone in a few years.

as for David Keith's experiments it is now kept under wraps the when and where
it may be done again. this because of people protesting.

lol...this crap is pathetic...why do you believe and post crap like this? it is disingenuous and counterproductive...

the above graph is from noaa's own climate site...Yearly surface temperature compared to the 20th-century average from 1880–2022. Blue bars indicate cooler-than-average years; red bars show warmer-than-average years. NOAA Climate.gov graph, based on data from the National Centers for Environmental Information.

the site also notes....

Earth’s temperature has risen by an average of 0.14° Fahrenheit (0.08° Celsius) per decade since 1880, or about 2° F in total.

The rate of warming since 1981 is more than twice as fast: 0.32° F (0.18° C) per decade.

2022 was the sixth-warmest year on record based on NOAA’s temperature data.

The 2022 surface temperature was 1.55 °F (0.86 °Celsius) warmer than the 20th-century average of 57.0 °F (13.9 °C) and 1.90 ˚F (1.06 ˚C) warmer than the pre-industrial period (1880-1900).

The 10 warmest years in the historical record have all occurred since 2010.

The amount of future warming Earth will experience depends on how much carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases we emit in coming decades. Today, our activities—burning fossil fuels and clearing forests—add about 11 billion metric tons of carbon (equivalent to a little over 40 billion metric tons of carbon dioxide) to the atmosphere each year. Because that is more carbon than natural processes can remove, atmospheric carbon dioxide increases each year.
