further inland than the usual quakes up here...felt it...a sharp jolt...fortuna is about 10 miles south of eureka...

Yeah, you may be due for a good shaker soon. Kind of
looks like a wind up sequence. The deeper depth at which
some of these moderate/lights are coming from trigger my
caution.

we are overdue for a 7-ish quake it seems...last one (7.2) was in 1992...we had a 6.2 last year though...and a 6.8 in 2014, a 6.5 in 2010 a few other 6s in there until the other 7 quake, a 7.2 in 1980 that did a lot of damage...i'm surprised though to look at the list and only see those two 7s since 1900...a bunch of 6s and just the 2 7s...course the big subduction quake is also overdue if it on the "normal" schedule...

this volcano discovery site is a really good one...i badly need to update the site links in the left nav...
