Kewlios...we have a pair in the back oak. I love sitting
on the patio and seeing them zip around. One day, they
nearly bowled me over when doing a high-speed fly-through
as I was on my way to the car in the driveway lol. They
are FAST!

hey Redhart, -that is so awesome...
I was thinking today how I was on a camping trip in the middle of October in the Klamath wilderness, -near the Oregon border...it's wild out there...

what's better than hanging out by a river where the salmon are spawning ??

it's stunning to observe the salmon to basically die after they made the long trip from the ocean...

be well

hi Marja, glad you got to have a moment with the Peregrine Falcon. Just this am, I watched a nature program explaining how they nearly went extinct in the 1970s due to DDT. These birds were instrumental in getting DDT banned! They're the fastest birds in the world flying up to 200 MPH.

So happy to hear the wild parrots are doing well too.
Take care, Sheila

While we were in L.A. earlier this year at the VA for
hubby, I noticed a whole flock of wild parrots that
apparently reside on the grounds, usually up in the palm
trees. VERY gregarious! You could hear them coming a
quarter mile away! They always made me smile.
