wow, -83 degrees here in SF right now, -the cali drought keeps on going, -out in the other regions outside the city it's 100 degrees plus...
the fire season will start earlier and earlier...
I feel for Mama Earth, -this planet is off balance...
btw, it's sad beyond sad re the animals that are also suffering thru these horrid times, -they die just like the humans die, -the nature park in Kiev, the employees knew they had to put down their beloved animals,
these people obviously cared for these animals...
it's sad and it's bad...
all this ongoing craziness is just, crazy, human self created madness...
recently while cooking, my kitchen window was wide open, a bird landed, it was the size of an eagle, we kind of observed each other, for a brief moment I thought what will I do if this massive bird flies inside ??
my late brother who passed away recently , in our house where we all grew up, there was a massive fir tree just outside the kitchen, this tree was seriously massive and old, we called the tree, UKKO, -
we knew UKKO had to come down, and I cried and cried...
my brother told me, a highly unusual bird showed up at the stump of UKKO the tree...

so strange, got up to nothing, then a light little bit, which went away, clouds cleared and sunny, then they came back and it snowed real good, then that stopped and all was calm, then a bit ago it started really coming down and sticking! everything is white now and people are heading to the store to stock up. Its not stopping yet, took pictures to show it. the clerk at the store said 10 years ago it snowed on Easter here.

we didn't have snow here in Salem but north of us clear through SW. Washington got walloped! Pics everywhere around the Portland area got up to 7 inches of snow. More is expected off and on through Friday too!!
Latest day in April since records kept for any sticking snow ever. Problem is, a lot of those beautiful Peach, Cherry trees in full bloom came tumbling down, branches breaking and bringing power lines with them. Thousands were/are without power and several main roads were closed for hours. ODOT wasn't prepared for this much snow at all.
Me? I was planning on planting tomato, pepper plants last week until I saw the forecasts, now will wait until May. :)

it snowed a little bit other day as I replied to you in
e-mail and temps went down again. Now we're expecting a
blizzard with high winds watch this evening into
tomorrow. Not happy. But this is usual for this area
until July when it gets to be a real spring/summer here
in SW Montana. Stay safe everyone.

yeah, it got to 69 today, warmest here since last
spring/summer. Now back to cold, winter, the winds, and
snow again.
