Hi Richter,

That reads like gibberish. First you assume that Earth
is a pendulum with zero basis for such an assumption and
calculate a period of a bit under an hour and a half,
then you use a few select earthquakes an calculate an
average of about 12 hours. What is the theoretical
relationship between your calculated pendulum motion of
Earth and the average of earthquakes in the small data
set you used?

Maybe you should backup and try just a paper on why
calculating the Earth as a pendulum is an appropriate
calculation. There seems to be no basis for such a
premise.

And the work is a quite sloppy. For example pi is not a
Pythagoras number. And you used 9.81 m/s2 as g, which is
appropriate for calculating the motion of a pendulum on
planet Earth as that is the force of gravity on Earth
that is a force on the pendulum, but you are saying
Earth is the pendulum so you can't use the gravity on
the surface of the Earth when you are saying Earth is
the pendulum.

Happy New Year

Jim
