Boy, what a morning!
Yesterday/today — Dog “alerting” me
This morning, we woke up exactly when that 2.3 micro hit in WMP!
Then, I have been hearing the earth “shifting”, and the house has been making some loud (creaking) noises!
I see the micros today:
Menlo Park
Alameda
RidgeMark
As soon as I get a Signal, I will *update* this posting!

pets are remarkable indicators. I remember after the Loma quake my dog would not get out of the car once in it. I am sure he wanted to leave the area. my daughter's boy friend had two dogs that stayed in their back yard with a 6 foot fence. but three days before a quake would hit they scaled the fence and he would come home to the two of them sitting in the middle of the street back to back waiting for him.
here in TN my house barely had creaks but the last 2 1/2 years it is constant and sometime loud. there are water main pipes breaking nearly every day in the mid-TN area. last year just on one day Nashville had over 100 water main breaks. something you might keep a eye on the news for as another clue of the earth shifting. we did have many water main breaks this year all over mid TN from North to South. some might equate it with the low temp of minus 7.8 F but I am skeptical as on solid bedrock and less than 5 hour drive to the New Madrid fault. the creaking sometimes keeps me awake at night. noises are daily almost same time and not moon or sun related but either can make it worse.
