Subject: very deep sub-sonic thuds

the last two nights here in TN near 7 to 8 PM I have heard what I would call
very deep sub woofer type tones, sub-sonic. meaning noises that most people
would not hear but may feel.
first night I thought it was a persons sub woofer but I do not know anyone in my
area that has one. I do but it was not capable of the tones I heard.
last night when I heard them makes me believe it was not local at all.
the thuds I heard was clearer and resonated as though it was the sound of
bubbling magma in some volcano. possibly the sound of like the harmonic tremors
before a eruption somewhere. the sound was stronger/clearer last night, though
the sky was partly cloudy at first.
I swim during the day and also at night when I can so this was heard outside.
sub sonic sounds usually do not have any way of finding a direction as they could
be any where, as a av sub woofer owner.
my guess was West of me, though I can not say where.

then the sounds get drowned out by local traffic noise.
